The threshold takes more punishment than any other part of a doorway: rain, foot traffic, and the sun hitting it all afternoon. It is also the part people notice last.

A failed threshold lets water sit against the bottom of the door and the jamb, which is exactly how rot starts. Replacing one is a small job. Repairing what it damages is not.

We manufacture ours in-house from 100% galvanized steel. That matters more than it sounds: a stock threshold is cut to a standard length and shimmed until it more or less fits, while ours is formed to the opening it is going into. And galvanized steel does not rust, does not warp, and does not care how fast Houston weather swings from downpour to full sun.

We fit adjustable thresholds where the gap has opened up over time, and full replacements where the timber or the seal has gone.
