Door Refinishing in The Heights
The Heights has the oldest housing stock we work on: Victorian and Craftsman homes with doors that are original to the building. Wide stiles, deep panels, and often the original glass, which cannot be matched today at any sensible price.
There is a practical reason to refinish rather than replace here beyond the money. Much of The Heights sits inside a historic district, and changing the appearance of a street-facing element can mean going through approval. Refinishing the door you already have does not change its appearance — it restores it. That is a far simpler conversation.
We work conservatively on these: hand-stripping, repairing joints and splits rather than replacing parts, and a finish that suits the age of the house instead of a high-gloss modern build that would look wrong on a 1910 Craftsman.
